  Alexander's catered a company luncheon in February of 2014. The food was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted amazing and was fresh and hot. The staff filled our plates to the brim and didn't skimp on anything! Absolutely exceptional food. I see the other complaints on here are in regards to their customer service and wait staff skills-- obviously I can't comment to that as our interaction was simply catered but the older lady and two gentlemen that were here were nothing but kind and repeatedly thanked us for the opportunity to serve them.
  When they got here (K&L Gates downtown) one of my co-workers heard the older lady say, "This will be the best meal they will have!" We laughed and kind of played it off as overly confident -- she proved to be correct!

  I would NEVER patronize Alexanders in Ambridge after my horrible experience. If you are considering hosting a special occasion here… reconsider.
  
  In July, 2011, we hosted a bridal shower at Alexander's Restaurant in Ambridge, PA. Although the food wasn't bad, the service was mediocre and drinks were not refilled timely. When the bill arrived, we were over-charged by a nominal amount. We kindly brought it to Kay's (owner's attention) in which she was correcting. Her son, one of the servers of this family owned business, begins "yelling" at us indicating that we were not over-charged and that an over-charge would never happen. Then the cook (owner's husband) arrives and shouts "I don't' need their f**** business. These are not good people." Completely insulted us and raised his voice to the point where other customers could hear him. Also, the other server (another son) begins throwing wine bottles in a bin... loud noises AND splashing us as we were seated in the bar area trying to resolve the situation. Lastly, Kay accuses us (the customer) of stealing her chip baskets only to find out that one of her sons already collected them and put them in the kitchen. No apology was extended to us for the billing discrepancy or the false accusation of stealing baskets. I have never been so humiliated or treated so rudely.
  
  There are no re-dos in life and this was a memorable experience but for the wrong reasons. The memories of the bridal shower are clouded with the out-of-control and rude behavior of the owners. I am still shocked and outraged by the way the owners treated us over their billing error.
